1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of ExcelmindIT, a platform for managing the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], registered in Nigeria with CAC number [RC NUMBER].
By using ExcelmindIT you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an institution or company, you confirm you have authority to do so.
2. What ExcelmindIT is — and is not
ExcelmindIT is independent software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) or SIWES. References to SIWES and ITF describe the programme and its requirements only.
Institutions and companies remain responsible for their own compliance with ITF requirements, formats and submission deadlines. We provide tools that support that compliance; we do not assume it.
3. Who may use the platform
- Institutions — Nigerian tertiary institutions running SIWES, and the staff they authorise
- Students — registered by their institution
- Companies — organisations hosting students for industrial training
Accounts are created by or on behalf of these parties. You may not share account credentials or allow anyone else to use your account.
4. Institution responsibilities
An institution using ExcelmindIT is responsible for:
- the accuracy of student records it enters or uploads
- having a lawful basis for providing student data to the platform, and for informing students that it is being used
- the accuracy of any list it submits to the ITF, whether or not that list was generated through ExcelmindIT
- managing access for its own staff, including removing access when someone leaves
5. Company responsibilities
A company using ExcelmindIT is responsible for:
- the accuracy of the information in its company profile
- completing verification before participating in student placements
- the conditions, supervision and safety of any student it hosts
- treating student information it receives as confidential, and using it only to assess and manage placements
Hosting a student creates a relationship between the company, the student and the institution. ExcelmindIT is not a party to it.
6. Verification
Companies are checked against CAC registration records before they can take part in student placements. Verification confirms that a company is registered — it is not a guarantee of the quality, safety or suitability of any placement, and we make no such guarantee.
7. Placements
ExcelmindIT helps institutions, students and companies find each other. We do not guarantee that any student will be placed, that any company will receive applications, or that any particular placement will be suitable.

8. Fees

- interfere with the platform's operation or security
- misrepresent your identity, institution or company
We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms.
10. Availability
We aim to keep ExcelmindIT available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, make changes to features, or suspend the service where necessary.
11. Your content
You keep ownership of the data and content you put into ExcelmindIT. You grant us the permission needed to host, process and display it in order to operate the platform.
12. Liability

13. Ending your use
